Global Marine & Technical Services (GMTS) has been in existence since 2004 to meet the Technical & Logistic Services of booming Oil & Shipping Industries at Kakinada. In these years of our existence, GMTS has garnered the trust of our Clientele and come to stay as – “Pit– Stop for On Shore & Off Shore Technical & Logistic Services”
The founder of this small scale Industry is a retired Commander from Indian Navy, Cdr KS Narayana who served as an Engineer in Indian Navy for 24 years and had varied experience in all fields of engineering, ship building, ship repairs, operation and maintenance of Ship borne equipment and testing and trials of main equipment.
After retirement from Indian Navy, the founder, with a passion to be an entrepreneur and to generate employment to personnel in his native place started this industry as a small workshop for ship repairs. Fortunately, his retirement coincided with the Oil and Gas sector commencing their operations in Kakinada. This helped in modifying the workshop to cater to Oil and Gas sector for needs in fabrication and engineering related activities.
Thus the journey started in the year 2004 with our first association with Cairn Energy India Pty Ltd in Kakinada. From then on our association started with other major players like Reliance Industries Ltd, ONGC, Schlumberger, Hercules international, and other oil sector clients.
The major break through was given by M/S Technip France and UK and we associated with them for 3 campaigns spread over 4 years and for their sub sea activities and we undertook major projects for them.
Our operations are executed by qualified engineers and Ex Naval (Defence) Officers with more than 20 years of Off Shore Technical experience. We have the vision, enterprise, perseverance, capability and commitment to carry out diverse operations spanning construction of Marine assets and offshore structures, Manufacturing, Fabrication, Trouble Shooting and Maintenance
Besides managerial cadre, we have a strong work force of different trades with expertise in Fabrication, Engineering and Logistics.
We have tremendous resources to fill the gap pertaining to design and testing. We have a group of Naval Architects from Vizag to provide us the designs in the field of various fabrication related projects including offshore and on shore structural activities and consultants to validate and authenticate designs. Our various fabrication activities are supported by well experienced and NDT teams for the RT, UT and MPI for welded structures.
We are registered with Kakinada port as “Ship Repairers (Fabrication & Engg Services) and preferred service provider for M/S Reliance, Cairn India, Technip France, ONGC, Schlumberger Asia Services Ltd, Miswaco, Baker Huges, Expro Gulf Ltd, M/S Halliburton offshore Services, Hercules offshore and drilling services, Ship Building Centre Visakhapatnam, etc.
